Preparing the board…

How the board is built

Eight symbols are duplicated into sixteen tiles and shuffled with a Fisher–Yates pass, so every arrangement is equally likely. There is no adaptive difficulty and no hidden assistance if you are struggling.

A perfect clearance takes eight moves, which requires either an extraordinary memory or considerable luck. Most people settle somewhere between twelve and twenty, and that is a perfectly respectable place to be.

Nothing is scored beyond the move count. There are no coins, no tokens, no currency of any kind, and no way to convert a good result into anything at all.

What else is coming to the zone

Frost Bingo

Numbers called at your own pace rather than on a timer, because the first prototype turned a calm game into an anxious one.

In testing

Midnight Sequence

Repeat a growing pattern of soft lights. Simple to build, surprisingly difficult to make pleasant rather than punishing.

Sketching

Fjord Tiles

Place tiles to complete a coastline. No randomness whatsoever, included for people who dislike games of chance.
