Who is behind this

A small room, built slowly

Wosinelaxu is made by two people who spent several years building engagement mechanics for other companies and eventually grew tired of what they were building.

The thing we stopped doing

Between us we have shipped daily login rewards, energy timers, loss-aversion streak counters and push notifications carefully worded to create mild anxiety. All of them worked. That is precisely the problem: they worked on people who had not asked to be worked on.

The Aurora Room contains none of those mechanics, not because they are ineffective, but because they are effective in a direction we no longer want to push.

What we kept

The part that never needed any of it: a well-made small game, played for as long as it is enjoyable and then set down without a fuss. Aurora Pairs is that idea in its simplest form.

Our commitments

Four promises about this room

Nothing to buy

No shop, no subscription, no cosmetic packs and no donation button. Adding any of them would change what the room is.

Nothing measured

No analytics, no heatmaps, no session recording. We do not know how long you stayed and we prefer it that way.

Nothing pulling

No streaks, no timers, no notifications, no daily rewards and no progress that decays while you are away.

Nothing wagered

No stakes, no prizes and no currency. The move counter is a score, not a balance, and it buys absolutely nothing.

On social games and gambling

The phrase "social casino" covers a wide range of products, some of which are simply games and some of which behave as a rehearsal for wagering. The distinction usually lies in whether a mechanic exists to make the game better or to make stopping harder.

We have tried to stay firmly on one side of that line. Aurora Pairs has no chance-based reward, no escalating payout and no currency at all, which places it closer to a crossword than to a slot machine. Even so, we apply an adult-only policy to the whole room, because presenting anything in this category to minors seems unwise regardless of the specifics.

Our full position is written out in the play safe notes, and we welcome disagreement about any of it through the contact page.
